Tamaki Pool Day

                                            Tamaki Pool day

It was the 18th of Feb 2015 and the whole of Tamaki Primary School(Including me) went to Swim-arama in Panmure.We were going to the pools because it was really hot and we needed something to do for our first trip for this year.We went on a bus from our school to Swim-arama.

Before we went anywhere we had to buddy up with our buddy class.The year 7s got to buddy up with room 5 and the year 8s got to buddy up with room 1.Once we buddied up with our buddies we jumped onto one of the buses and left to Swim-arama.When we got there we had to go over all the expectations and instructions.

Next we got put into twelve groups for the duathlon.All the leaders were student council.We had to do two laps in the pool which was REALLY cold and we had two run two kilometers around the basin.

When we got back we got to have morning tea YAY!After that we got to have free time in the pool.Everybody was dunking each other in the water and tackling each other.Soon after that we were aloud on the hydroslide.I was one of the first people on and one of the last people off.

It was awesome.When you slide down there is an echo of your voice.

The day was almost over so I got out of the hydroslide but when I got out it was lunch time.For lunch we had a sausage sizzle and lemonade ice blocks.

When lunch was over we were aloud on the diving board and everybody raced to the gate.The smaller kids had to get tested if they could swim in the deep or not, but I didn’t need to because I was big enough to swim in the deep.When I went on the small one I wasn’t scared but when I was going to go on the big one I went back on the small one because I was scared.When I was going to go back onto the small one we got called back to get changed.

When we got back to school everybody was tired and everybody had a good day at the pools.
